A message from our founder

Life more abundant

How exciting to know that Jesus Christ offered His followers a more abundant life!  Jesus was speaking in John 10:10, which says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”

Jesus offered such an incredible gift for our earthly journey!  Even so, our human nature can find itself struggling to completely embrace the truth of His words.  When we give consideration to the deeper insights of this simple statement, we will find the encouragement we need to press our way to abundant life!

2 Corinthians 5:17 teaches us, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”  When God finds us, He loves and takes us just as we are.  And because He is such a loving God, He doesn’t want us to stay in that same condition.  He loves us too much to leave us there.

Much of modern-day Christianity wants us to believe that growing spiritually is not important.  While the salvation God gives to His children is free, it does not mean that growth is not required of us.

What too many people fail to realize is that spiritual growth is what leads us to abundant life!

Saying goodbye to our old ways, our old habits and our old thoughts is what begins to bring freedom to our souls.  The world around us has affected and impacted our thinking for years.  God’s ways are higher.  His ways are not like the ways of the world.

Saying hello to godliness and righteous living will lead us to that abundant life we never

knew we could have!

Ladies, the truth is, change is not always easy.  God didn’t tell us it would be.  Neither is He shocked that we aren’t perfected overnight.  He knew we wouldn’t be.  The good news is that He knew it would take time, but if we follow His leading, we’re going to experience the joys He intended for those who love Him.

Grace is much more than the unmerited favor of God.  It is His divine influence on our hearts, and His enabling power in our lives.  We aren’t strong enough on our own to overcome every way of bondage that has imprisoned us.  He loves us so much that He gives us power and ability to conquer our vices and weaknesses, through His Spirit.

Instead of being discouraged by how far we need to go, we can find relief in realizing that growth is a process.  When we try our best but give in to a moment of weakness and sin, we need to get back up and try again.  Staying down takes us back to square one, and that is exactly what the enemy of our soul desires.  That is one reason he doesn’t want us to realize that growth is a process.  We turned to the Savior who brought us out, and we aren’t going to be happy returning to our place of despondency.

We must get back up!

It’s going to take work, and it’s going to take discipline.  And ladies, it’s going to be worth it!
